All orders within Australia are delivered via Australia Post. Your order will be sent to your nearest Post Office.

Postage charges are payable upon collection. We do this so as to not over charge you with a standard fee! These charges will be exactly what it costs to send the items to you. Unfortunately we cannot give an exact figure (until we send it) but here is a guide to calculating delivery charges. The delivery charge for strings is $1 per set, anywhere in Australia.

Australia Post have a postal calculator which enables you to establish what it will cost to send an item anywhere in Australia. The information you will need is our post code (3056), and your own.

The weight of the item is not as important because most of the instruments are fairly light, and are less than the weight to volume ratio Australia Post has set (just put in 3-4kg). Thus charges are usually determined by the size of the package. Below is a list of dimensions of Packaged instruments. This is only a guide as packaging can vary.

Dimensions including packaging:
Dulcimer: 95cm x 21cm x 10cm
Mandolin: 66cm x 30cm x 9cm
Travel Guitar: 70cm x 30cm x 10cm
Fiddle: 80cm x 26cm x 12cm

These are only some of the more popular instruments, but it gives you an indication of what charges are applicable.

Simply open the Australia Post Calculator and put in the info. Select Regular Parcel. You then will need to tick the COD (Cash On Delivery) box, then the postage and fees box.

The figure given does not include insurance of the item, which they charge at $1.10 per $100 after the first $100 of the instrument. For example:

Insurance fees:
$0-$100 = free
$100-$200 = $1.10
$200-$300 = $2.20
and so on.

Add the correct amount of insurance on to the total and this should give you an estimate of what it will cost to send the item to you.
